The International Society of Blood Purification

The International Society of Blood Purification (ISBP) is a society that is dedicated to the development and improvement, and dosing of extracorporeal and peritoneal treatment modalities of acute and terminal renal failure and to new and future technologies and principles of blood purification and organ replacement (including indications outside nephrology).

 

The ISBP Meeting

Meetings of the ISBP have a unique character. The meetings are characterized by the open atmosphere in which an in-depth discussion takes place between young investigators, presenting original research, and the members of the society, many of which are established scientists in the field. This discussion is usually continued during intermissions and the social events. In keeping with the society’s tradition, during this meeting cutting edge science will be presented by leading researchers in the field of blood purification, dialysis and the management of renal failure.

Venue

The International Society of Blood Purification will hold its 24th annual meeting at Nara Hotel (September 8th), and the Nara-Ken New Public Hall (September 9th-10th), in Nara, Japan.“Nara-Ken New Public Hall” is located in the center of Nara surrounded by many traditional castles and shrines, hotels and restaurants and is on walking distance from the Nara Park.

Participants

Physicians, scientists, health care professionals and students involved in providing renal replacement therapy and other forms of blood purification. Due to their unique character, ISBP meetings are especially well suited for young investigators in the field of blood purification and trainees in nephrology.
