Gerhard Lonnemann - President

Tadao Akizawa - Vice-President

Professor, Division of Nephrology and Blood Purification Medicine, Wakayama Medical University from1999 to 2005, and Professor, Department of Nephrology, Showa University School of Medicine from 2005.



Andre Kaplan - Treasurer

Robert Zietse - Secretary

Council member of the ISBP since 2001. Serves as webmaster. From the 2006 meeting in Nara onwards he serves the society as secretary.

Vladimir Tesar - Council Member

Professor of medicine, vice-dean of the 1st School of Medicine for research and science and Chief of the Department of Nephrology, Charles University, Prague. President of the 17th Annual Meeting of the International Society of Blood Purification in 1999. Wil host the 6th European Meeting on Peritoneal Dialysis in 2005.



Andrew Davenport - Council Member

Lems Jerin - Council Member

Worked at the Dialysis Centre, General Hospital Pula (Croatia), from 1976. Chief of Dialysis Centre 1983-1994. Chief of Dept. Of Internal Medicine 1994-1998. Director of General Hospital Pula from 1998. President of the Organizing Committee of the forthcoming 26th Annual ISBP Meeting in 2008.

Peter Stenvinkel - Council Member

Associate Professor 1998 at the Karolinska Institute Stockholm Sweden. Senior lecturer at Huddinge University Hospital Stockholm. Visiting Associate Professor at University of Davis California 2000-2001. Has published more than 120 papers on various aspects of inflammation, malnutrition and metabolism in ESRD patients.
